Does Any of This Sound Familiar?

Lost and Overwhelmed

Your child sits down to revise but doesn't know where to start, and lacks the confidence to ask for help in lessons.

Falling Behind

They're feeling left behind in class but are too worried about looking silly to speak up.

"I'm Just Not a Maths Person"

They've started avoiding maths altogether, and that story is quietly becoming something they believe.

Exams Are Getting Closer

The mocks are coming. The pressure is building. And you're not sure how to help.

If you're nodding along, this guide was written for you.

Why a Grade 4 or 5 Matters

For many students, GCSE Maths is more than just another exam.

A Grade 4 is often the minimum requirement for college courses, sixth form entry, apprenticeships and future career opportunities. Without it, students may need to resit maths alongside their new qualifications, adding extra pressure at an already demanding time.

A Grade 5 can open even more doors, giving students greater choice and flexibility as they move on to the next stage of their education.

That's why building confidence and understanding now really matters. The earlier students get the right support, the more options they have available to them in the future.

The GCSE Maths Confidence Kit

This free guide cuts through the overwhelm and gives you a clear, calm picture of what's actually going on with your child, and exactly what to do about it.

Because here's what I know after 15 years in the classroom: struggling with maths doesn't mean your child lacks ability. Very often, they just need clearer explanations, stronger foundations and the right support.

And with the right support, things can start to feel much more manageable.

Hi, I'm Shara-Kay - Founder of Clarity Maths

As a maths teacher and examiner with over 15 years of experience, including roles as Director of Maths and Assistant Headteacher, I've worked with hundreds of students who believed they simply couldn't do maths.

They could. They just needed it explained the right way.

That's why Clarity Maths is built around clarity, confidence and steady progress, helping students understand maths rather than simply memorise it.

Over the years, I've watched capable students lose confidence in maths and start believing they simply weren't good at it. I created this guide to help parents understand why that happens and what they can do to support their child before those beliefs become fixed.
