Small Group Maths Classes

I offer weekly online small group maths classes designed to help students gain clarity, build confidence and achieve their potential in maths. With a maximum of six students per class, every student has the opportunity to ask questions, receive individual support and learn alongside other students.

Hi, I'm Shara-Kay

I believe that most students don't struggle with maths because they lack ability - they struggle because it's never been explained in a way that truly makes sense to them.

I've seen this time and again in the classroom. As a maths teacher and examiner with over 15 years of experience, including roles as Director of Maths and Assistant Headteacher, I've worked with students of all abilities and watched confident, capable young people slowly convince themselves that they're just not a maths person. It doesn't have to be that way.

Maths can feel overwhelming when knowledge gaps build up or confidence takes a knock. And once that happens, it's easy for students to fall further behind. That's why everything I do starts with understanding. I break topics down into clear, manageable steps - building knowledge quietly and consistently until maths starts to feel less overwhelming and those lightbulb moments begin to happen.

Whether your child is trying to catch up, build confidence or prepare for exams, my small group sessions provide a supportive, judgement-free space where questions are encouraged and mistakes are simply part of the process.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing a student go from dreading maths to actually believing in themselves. That shift, from overwhelm to clarity, is what Clarity Maths is all about.

I'd love to help your child get there. Feel free to get in touch via the Contact page, I'd be happy to have a chat.

"Struggling with maths doesn't mean a student lacks ability. Very often, they just need clearer explanations, stronger foundations and the right support."

Why Students Thrive Here

Personalised strategies, proven methods, and a dedicated educator committed to turning your child's academic goals into reality.

Small Group Support

With a maximum of six students per class, every student gets personalised attention and feels confident asking questions. Smaller groups mean I get to know each student, how they think, where they struggle and what they need to thrive.

Building Confidence That Lasts

Many students struggle with maths because they've lost confidence in themselves. My classes provide a supportive, judgement-free space where mistakes are part of the process, helping students build resilience and start to believe that they genuinely can do this

Making Maths Click, Step by Step

Every lesson is carefully structured to build understanding from the ground up. New concepts are broken down into clear, manageable steps and practised with support, because students aren't expected to just figure it out.

Experienced Teacher & Examiner

As an experienced maths teacher and examiner, I know the curriculum and exactly what examiners are looking for. I help students build strong foundations, approach questions with confidence and feel better prepared for assessments and exams.

Keeping Parents Informed

Staying informed matters. Parents receive written feedback following assessments, helping them understand their child's strengths, areas for development and next steps, whilst celebrating the progress being made along the way.

Curriculum-Aligned Results

I've taught maths, examined it and led a department, so I understand where students get stuck and what it takes to turn that around. Over the years, I've helped hundreds of students improve their confidence, strengthen their understanding and achieve better results in maths.
